Apple has today announced it’s year-long “Back to School” promotion targeting students from universities and colleges across the United States and Canada. The promotion for this year gives the chance to win a free Apple gift card when you purchase of a qualifying Mac or iPad in lieu of offering free AirPods as last year. Apple will also offer students 20 percent discounted AppleCare+ plans during the promotion.

Apple offers the gift card of $150 when you purchase the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac model, as well as the gift card is $100 with buying any of the newly released iPad Pro or iPad Air model, along with the complete conditions and terms set out on Apple’s website. Gift cards are redeemable to pay for purchases of Apple products and accessory items, App store apps and subscriptions for services such Apple Music, iCloud+ storage, and many more.

The list of devices that are eligible includes the latest 13.2-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip, which became available for purchase at Apple Stores starting today and the new MacBook Air equipped with M2 chips will be eligible for the launch next month.

The promotion is available via Apple’s education store online as well as at Apple retail stores for students who are enrolled or accepted to a college or university as well as faculty and staff from colleges and universities, parents buying on behalf of a qualified student or employees of K-12 institutions and a select group of others.

The promotion will end on September 26th for the United States and Canada, and is expected to be launched across European as well as Asian countries in the coming month.
